Most recently Susan began a series of brilliant and fanciful ink paintings, depicting mythical animals, created in a colorful Folklorico fashion. Spiritual in content the images are also playful, coming from a carefree, essential place. The originals are reproduced as photographic prints.

Within the last five years Susan has created a body of abstract paintings using acrylic, oils and a mixture of applied media. The paintings are bold and colorful. Thematically the paintings are wilder and rely on an interior psychic connection. Susan's photography skills range from journalistic, portraiture, commercial stock, color and black and white to fine art use of black & white infrared. The infrared images encompass several series using dogs, snakes, and insects. Dogs in particular are the theme for many of the images including the expansive "Isabel Series."
