I thought you would enjoy more about teabag art papers. Creating with recycled materials is a long time art interest. Six years ago I attended a local class where I learned how to take apart and create teabags. I also learned how to use teabag paper to make art. If you google you can seeI videos, websites and online classes easily available for learning. I have been using these recycled accessible art papers for about six years. The versatility of teabag papers draws me to this art material.
In my own work I integrated teabag art paper into one of a kind art cards, as well as art tags. I offer the art tags in my Small Treasures shop. The teabag art papers are a primary material in “Evolutions”, a series within the “Portrait of a Woman” project.
And very recently, I used the papers in artwork created in a three years collaboration as part of the International Online Art Collective “Chain Reaction” project. I worked with 14 artists from nine countries and I used teabag art papers in 5 of the seven pieces in the 100 piece exhibit.
In November of 2023 I taught a class as part of the International Online Art Collective “Chain Reaction” exhibit at Pearl City Clay House in Jamestown, New York. The twelve students in the class explored and produced intriguing and fun art with this fun art material.
