Hello, From Susan’s World
All my work is made with you, the viewer, in mind. As I combine life experience with natural and cosmic elements leading viewers on intriguing visual journeys, I bring a feminist, woman-affirming perspective to inventive and intriguing artworks portraying self and earth love.

I am a digital artist with a 50 year art creating history. I am a visual storyteller having produced art in ten series, including alternative and digital photography, transfer prints, paintings, and video. I developed my visual language in childhood avidly viewing magazine photographs and movies. I worked as an analogue print, portrait and documentary photographer, while forging careers in art curation and gallery management. I developed a unique transfer print artworks using alternative photo techniques. While exhibiting in the US and Europe, I learned to use digital camera-phone and iPad, enhancing my moving and still imagery. In 2015 responding to internalized messages about aging, I initiated my “Portrait of a Woman Legacy Project." Over eleven years, I have been creating using my self portrait, melding and altering images to offer intriguing artworks.
I expanded my self portrait project with “Planetary Sisters” which utilize my face and aging AI women. The “Sisters” are shown as moving images and films.
During the pandemic without the possibility of showing analogue art, I amplified skills in digital media, worked on the Portrait of a Woman images, and built the 40-minute commissioned documentary “In The Now," that laid the ground work for the “The Corona Diaries,” meditative films about biking and florals. Having used biking as a coping tool during lockdown I employed joyful cycling as a film theme.
